Services Provided by Director of Learning Needs
- Supervise all aspects of Study Lab (Resource Room) for grades 9-12.
- Counsel students in the area of academic performance.
- Liaison between teachers, students and families to ensure student success.
- Coordinate Instructional Support Team for all students.
- Help students to develop study/organizational skills thru the use of study guides, outlines, note cards and graphic organizers.
- Assist students with the completion assignments and projects.
- Pre and post teach class information to reinforce learning in the classroom.
- Assist school counselor in making schedule that will best fit student’s needs and abilities.
Additional services for identified students
- Implement accommodations according to student’s Individual education Plan or 504 Plan.
- In daily contact with consultant teacher provided from Albany School District.
- Provide testing accommodations for students that require it, for example separate location, extended time, or test read.
- Attend annual meetings for IEP and 504 plans.
- In contact with Albany School Psychologist to identify students that are scheduled for testing.
